Just another Saturday...

 Another Saturday hanging out sans Daddy. Instead of hockey though he's helping a friend chop wood :) Also, Marin hit 4 months yesterday....wow.

I Heart Faces - Love

The love between a child and their "lovey" is epic. I had a completely different picture planned for this contest, but when she came down for breakfast this morning and was, as usual, attached to her bunny and blanket, I changed my mind.

The next month's photo contest topic is "Love." I thought, in the spirit of that, I would try to take a few more pictures of both girls together. This has been an impossible task thus far. However, on this day, Mallory was really into Marin and being close to her, and holding her hand (as you'll see). In a few of them I needed to get a better focus, but I'm still working on figuring out getting the best focus on squirmy kids. I added these pictures here, even if not perfect because the shot was too good not to...

 This next one is not at all focused correctly, but the look on Mallory's face is too perfect. 

She is cuddling her sister and could not be happier about it...

 You would think I posed this, but this was one of my first two shots. Mallory saw Marin laying with the blanket and she wanted to cuddle too. Marin grabbed her hand (which Mallory LOVES). This was what prompted me to get my camera out in the first place.

January Hot Flash

This past Saturday it was 58 degrees outside! It was a beautiful day and we had the window open for a bit. Mallory was enjoying watching Daddy outside with the dogs. I LOVE pictures of kids looking out windows. They almost always get that "wide-eyed wonderment" look on their faces.

Not the best shot, but I like it.

Lunchtime Lady...

I love how much color is in her eyes here! They were a gray-blue when she was born, a beautiful blue as an infant, and as a toddler they have been changing so much, gaining more and more green. This picture was taken at a time when both colors are very obvious. So beautiful - even while slurping on a sippy cup.

P.S. Lunchtime photos are some of my absolute favorite ones of this kid.

Another Wonderful Face

I entered a picture of Marin in a "Best Face" photo contest....but this little face is just as wonderful.
